Eugène Joseph Verboeckhoven, a Belgian painter, was born in Comines-Warneton in West Flanders in 1798. He was a well-renowned painter, a sculptor, an etcher, an engraver, and a lithographer of animals, animated landscapes, and portraits. His paintings can be found in museums all over the world. He died in Schaerbeek, Brussels, in 1881.
In early 2023, an important collection of original drawings from the studio of the painter were auctioned to the public in Brussels. Some of these works are signed or initialed in the hand of the master, some are dated or bear the stamp of the painter's estate. Others are not signed or stamped, but all the works are confirmed to have come from the painter's estate.
We acquired a curated selection of these exceptional drawings and all have been beautifully framed.
Price and dimensions of each piece is available on request.
